Die Zimmer an sich sind sauber; ich kann nur die Doppelzimmer beurteilen. Allerdings lassen sich die Fenster aus irgendwelchen Gründen nur kippen welches eine Lüftung nicht unbedingt erleichert. Die Jugendherberge verfügt über ein modernes Schließsystem. Ein Lift ist ebenfalls physisch vorhanden; nur darf er nicht benutzt werden.... Positiv ist auf alle Fälle das kostenlose WLAN hervorzuheben. Bis zur Station "Handelskai" sind es durchaus auch 10min Fussweg. Freundlichkeit des Personals: Zumindest könnte man so Sätze wie"Herzlich willkommen in der Jugendherberge","Auf Wiedersehn" erwarten. Jedoch weit gefehlt. Auch auf einfache Fragen wie "Ist es möglich jetzt noch an der Abendverpflegung teilzunehmen" erhält man ein erschrockes Gesicht. Und erst auf weitere Nachfrage eine Antwort. |

There's nothing I can put here that hasn't already been said but check this out: during summer the OBB (Austrian Railways) does discount fares to many cities in adjoining countries. We went on a day trip to Bratislava in Slovakia for 14 euros RETURN! And the ticket included public transport in the city you arrive in. Try it! |

Well, it's Vienna, isn´t it? If you want a cheap meal try Nordsee just off Stephansplatz in the very centre or one of the multiple fast food places that adorn Schwedensplatz. Apart from supermarkets, that's about as cheap as you can get. |
